Welcome to all!

Thank you so much for supporting Let’s ‘Virtually’ Talk Birth.

We were determined that 2020 would not go without an LTB conference.

Our reason is simple, to support informed decision making. The willingness to share gives us the drive to create this platform for everyone’s voices. Seeing and hearing other people’s views, research, and experiences, gives everyone the support to make informed decisions.

Your participation is what make this great! There is a question box, so please ask. LTB and all the speakers truly enjoy this interaction. There will be relevance to your question for all the people watching and we will get you answers for the Q&A day on the 29th July.

We especially thank the brave people who have never presented before or recorded themselves. We truly appreciate the effort and passion you have gave to make the world better.

Don’t forget to allocate your charity token!

Welcome to all! How the virtual conference days will work.

We have tried to balance Let’s Talk Birth being a physically live conference, with an educational portal.

Each day is presented in Parts as if its ‘live’.

Each part is only available at a certain time on the ‘first showing’ and then it will stay accessible.

You will need to click every Part to start watching the presentations sections.

Each part will unlock as the day progresses.

After this ‘first showing’ time you will be able to access it at any time.

You will only be able to ‘fast forward/rewind’ after you have watched the whole presentation.

You can pause the presentations at anytime to have a break, and it will save your position.

BUT the system will not store your progress. If you log out you will have to start the video again if you are watching it for the first time.

This system assists us with allocating CPD.

Here are two examples:

Example 1:

Watching on the 1st July at 10am.

Part 1 – Access starts at 10am.

You decide to click and watch it at 10.05am.

It will play from the beginning.

A CPD click box will appear at the end of Part 1.

You click the CPD box and the CPD will credit your user account.

You can now re-watch any part of the presentation up to the 29th July.

Click on Part 2 – Access will be from 11.17am and the same process will apply.

You need to click on each part as they will not start automatically.

Example 2:

Watching on 2nd July

You can now click any Part of Day 1 at any time.

You still need to watch the whole Part fully before you can rewind/fast forward.

A CPD click box will appear at the end of the part you have watched.

Click the CPD box and the CPD will credit to your user account.

You can now re-watch any part of the presentation up to the 29th July.

How you get the CPD Certificate.

This has been designed as ‘Lessons’. Each ‘Part’ is a lesson.

You will be accredited a CPD Certificate after you have watched the whole day.

At the end of each ‘Part’ a box will be displayed to ask you to ‘Complete Lesson’. Click this and the parts CPD will be added to the days total.

When all parts have been watched and the ‘Lessons completed’, your user account will have the CPD Certificate ready to download.

Charity Token?

At the end of the last presentation, a box will appear, ‘which charity would you like to support’.

This will take you to a selection of charities for you to give your token to. Any tokens not used will be equally shared across all the ones shown. We will divide any profits to the match the token donations.

Please look at the various speakers Bios as they also have different charities and links that you may like to contribute to directly.

Welcome to all! Why only available up to the 29th July 2020?

This is to protect you and the speakers from information that is outdated.

All speakers are constantly updating their presentations because facts and data change.

LTB is designed to challenge information and practice. If these presentations were left accessible it could potentially mean that outdated information was echoed for longer than is helpful.

We are sure you appreciate this and have experienced systems that are in an unhealthy cycle of ‘we’ve always done it that way’.  We’d like to break that cycle and not contribute to it.

This is why it’s important that you ask questions. Asking questions lets you understand why thing are done.

Please ask, please challenge. If done with respect and humility everyone learns.
