Vicki Youdan

Vicki is a Mum and psychologist, birth enthusiast and antenatal educator, based in the Bath area.
She came to the world of birth-education via personal experience with trauma and lack of consent in the birth room, followed by her ‘healing birth’ and subsequent qualification as a practitioner with the Katherine Graves school of Hypnobirthing.
She currently facilitates antenatal groups, provides breastfeeding support on the maternity ward and in the community and is also a volunteer with her local MVP.
In 2020, she’ll be working closely with the KGH team on her PhD thesis into birth preparation and outcomes, with the aim of increasing commissioning of comprehensive, holistic, woman-centred antenatal education, presented as a tool to reduce CCG expenditure.
Vicki will also be publishing a compendium of 13 pregnancy, birth and parenting-related pieces of original poetry, each of which is supported by fully referenced, academic essays.
Vicki then turns her art-science to performance-art through the medium of spoken word.
She will be introducing her thesis, her upcoming book and demonstrating her unique spoken word art.
